Your Eyes:
It's your eyes
that confuse me
It's your eyes
Oh that use me
I miss your very eyes
I miss your
smooth white lies
pass me a cigarette
maybe I can forget
Your eyes
that confuse me
It's your eyes
oh that use me
Give me another drink
that honey I can sink
all of these memories
that I can't get
out of my mind
It's your eyes
that confuse me
your eyes
oh that use me
You won't have
to look far
I'll be in the
nearest bar
I feel so very
cold and I'm
feeling
so very old
Without your eyes
they confuse me
your eyes
oh that use me
I miss your very eyes
I miss your
smooth white lies
pass me a cigarette
maybe I can forget
Your eyes
that confuse me
your eyes
Ah that use me
Your eyes ...
I also like "one way love" a lot... but I think it may be an Undertones cover...?
someone enlighten me?
In this excerpt from wikipedia it eludes that because of the supposed "flop" of this
album, the band broke up. In fact the break up was due to brian james' drive to make a move he thought would be more lucrative, and formed The Lords of the new church with Stiv Bators, from the Dead Boys. Also contributing to the falling out were the continuous broken promises by Stiff records. Stiff didn't think The Damned had any "staying power", that the act was a flash in the pan. Stiff, also looking to make more money went on to alienate the fans and artists on their label, by going on to release music from U2 and that one song by Frankie goes to Hollywood, which, in my opinion, has only one redeeming quality in that it was used in the soundtrack for the movie Zoolander. U2... well, I don't even need to go into how much of a step down that was for Stiff, do I? Anyway, not surprisingly, Stiff records was done by 1985. Staying power? yeeah.
Well that's it for the first entry.
